Psychlona

Born in Bradford, England during the summer of 2016, PSYCHLONA found its natural path taking influences from all things punk rock, the California desert scene, and a healthy dose of classic 60s/70s heavy rock psychedelia.

Born in Bradford, England during the summer of 2016, PSYCHLONA found its natural path taking influences from all things punk rock, the California desert scene, and a healthy dose of classic 60s/70s heavy rock psychedelia.

Psychlona signed with Ripple Music and Cursed Tongue Records in early 2018 and released debut album Mojo Rising that November, which garnered early recognition for the band and set them on track for a prolific next several years.

In August 2020, sophomore album Venus Skytrip was unleashed to rave reviews across the heavy rock underground, landing at number one on the Doom Charts in its release month and securing high placements on numerous end-of-year lists, including number two on the Doom Charts’ overall 2020 rankings (behind only Lowrider’s dominant Refractions LP).

In 2021, Psychlona signed with Psycho Waxx, the in-house label of international destination festival Psycho Las Vegas, and the band’s third album Palo Verde became the first non-compilation release on the emergent label in August 2022. Palo Verde earned critical acclaim, including the band’s second 10/10 review in Powerplay Magazine.
