Like their bewinged, cave-dwelling namesakes, Wren like to inhabit the dark. Unlike their bewinged, cave-dwelling namesakes, Wren are a badarse post-rock-infused sludge band who make incredible records and destroy in a live setting. That's why we’re chuffed to be bringing them to Desertfest 2019.

Since forming in 2013, the London-based four-piece have been on a constant sonic journey with an ever-evolving sound which takes in elements of noise rock legends Unsane and Shellac, and sludge heavyweights Neurosis, Kowloon Walled City, and Amenra. With a fearsome live reputation that has seen them play across the UK and Europe with everyone from Conan, to cellist Jo Quail, to their Holy Roar Records label-mates Conjurer, Wren have also been prolific in the studio, releasing three EPs, two splits, and an album in the course of five years. That’s a good effort.

With the band already teasing us with the promise of album two at some point this year, we can’t wait to see what shiny objects Wren will bring us at Desertfest! You can catch them at The Black Heart on Sunday.
