blast off into space with YURI GAGARIN at desertfest 2017!

If you're going to explore space, who better to explore it with than Yuri Gagarin? Gothenburg, Sweden's heavy psych five piece have been jettisoning minds to Alpha Centauri since their inception in 2012.

Their 2013 self-titled debut invaded record collections with its raw, interstellar voyages into stunning space rock. Yuri Gagarin's nebulous sound brings to mind earlier greats, such as Hawkwind, but probes deeper with a heavier tone.

Their follow up, 2015's At the Center of All Infinity is even more sprawling. 6 instrumental jams which orbit a more doomy atmosphere at times than its eponymous predecessor.

Yuri Gagarin are yet another notch on Sweden's domination of the wider stoner rock scene. Alongside other Swedish greats like Asteroid, Graveyard and Truckfighters, Yuri Gagarin are on another planet. So why not rocket out into the unknown with them at Desertfest 2017.
