“Isak is a band that takes raw driven sound and power, soaks it in atmospherics, and simultaneously takes you on a journey to the farthest corners of the universe and the deepest depths of your mind.
Hailing from Scotland, formed in 2012, the band consists of Joe McGarrity on guitar and vocals, Kristaps Baumanis on bass and Robert “Twigs” McLean on drums. Isak have forged a reputable live sound with cinematic length songs and odd time signatures, embodying the power of the riff and letting the listener manifest their own worlds.
With two EPs released previously, their debut album The Great Expanse was released on vinyl through Kozmik Artifactz in 2022. Fuzzy Cracklins Presents stated, “This is the perfect soundtrack for a desert road trip”.
