Formed in North London in the winter of 2018, Oldblood was created from its members
combining their disparate musical tastes into one cohesive, blackened monstrosity – combining
elements of doom, punk, post-metal, sludge, and black metal to form a sound that has turned heads since their debut live shows through to their headline shows around the UK.
From their debut EP ‘Arms to the Sky’ and the most recent double A single ‘Lead Lined Lungs’ and the genre-pushing ‘Promethean’, Oldblood have looked to continually push themselves forward and aren’t interested in being bound to the unwritten rules and well-worn ideas that inhabit whatever chosen genres they decide to combine.
Live shows are akin to an assault on the audience, with little regard nor even acknowledgment
for their presence; Oldblood being solely focused on crushing them beneath their aural misery.
Their live performances have caught the attention of some genre titans and can count the likes of CONAN, Bossk, DVNE, Portrayal of Guilt and Boss Keloid as fans of their work – Oldblood having been asked to share the stage with each of these heavyweights in venues such as the bands spiritual home, Camden’s The Black Heart, London’s legendary The Garage, The Kentish Town Dome and Brighton’s Daltons.
2025 heralds a rebirth for Oldblood and they can’t wait to continue to push their special brand of
misery across the UK.
