With an arresting blend of power and intimacy, the band has gathered an impressive number of accolades despite only launching in 2022 – plays from BBC6’s Stu Maconie and BBC Introducing, a sold out vinyl release via Rough Trade, nominations for HRH Best New Band, Radio Wigwam’s Best Indie Rock award, as well as strong support from the the press with features in Fireworks, Powerplay, PROG, Classic Rock and more. The band has quickly become known on the UK festival circuit with appearances at Cambridge Rock, Portals, Nene Valley, HRH, Soundle and Winter’s End.

Teiger is led by the siren-like vocals and unorthodox guitar playing of Talie Rose Eigeland, whose unusual approach is often likened to that of Beth Gibbons, Jeff Buckley or Grace Slick. Against these are juxtaposed the sometimes intricate, sometimes thunderous patterns of drummer Jon Steele and the highly melodic, equally unorthodox bass playing of Phillip Eldridge-Smith. Where many rock bands would choose a distorted sound to create tension, Teiger’s playful ferocity relies instead on dynamic contrast, haunting major-minor tugs and carefully crafted parts from all three players to create a captivating and intensely symbiotic atmosphere.”
