Playing an active role in the Mexican scene since 2010, Weedsnake combine sludge, doom, stoner metal, hardcore, and punk to create their own sound.

Weedsnake released their first self-titled LP in 2011 under Mexican label Concreto Records. They then released a split with Akuma in 2012, a live session in 2013, and another split in 2014 with Terror Cosmico, Vinous Sabbathi and El Ahorcado.

Their second album, ‘Return’ (Concreto Records), was released in 2016, recorded by Miguel Farina and mastered by Jonathan Nunez. With this material they toured Mexico and Europe for the first time.

2019’s ‘Cannabinoide’ (Concrete Records) is their third LP; mixed, recorded, and mastered at Testa Estudio by KB.

In November 2023, Weedsnake released their fourth album ‘Grimorium Cannabinarum’ along with a music video for the single, ‘Ritual’. Recorded and mixed at Testa Estudio by KB, and mastered by Esben Williams,  the new album saw a vinyl release via US label, Things From Beyond, as well as on CD via Concreto Records.

‘Grimorium Cannabinarum’ reflects a more raw and obscure side of the band, without leaving aside the classic sound that represents them.

Supporting and decriminalising the use of cannabis is always part of Weedsnake’s approach to music.
